"This isn't a service that really exists." And guys, I don't think it should be. No one should do this type of cleaning unless they choose it or love it. Get mental health help and try to reach out for support so that your home doesn't reach this point. What Mack and other channels do is triage care for people and homes that desperately need it. The best time to get help is Now! Reaching out to Mack is lovely but try to reach out to people and resources within your local community 💜

I guess I was married to the most tidy alcoholic in the world. For 40 years, he kept the home in order because I was a workaholic. Beside the alcohol, he was the nicest person you could ever meet. Everyone loved him. He was kind and gentle. Sadly he passed with cancer at 57.

“I demand the same kind of empathy that we show the people we help.”

Yes and amen, we love healthy boundaries ❤️ It’s easy to be hard on ourselves, and “helpful” comments from others can really make it harder to get out of a hole. Those people are buttheads.

And as an aside, I really like seeing you take care of projects and cleaning in your own house; It’s one thing to help others, but to be able to take care of your own self too takes another kind of strength.

"I demand the same amount of empathy that we show the people we help."

Big, big time fuck yeah, man. You couldn't have said that better. Good for you setting healthy boundaries.

My favorite things on this channel are your sarcasm, your continuous mentions of moose, and your knowledge of pro wrestling. Why is watching someone clean so damned soothing?

I thought it was super cool that you were cleaning your own house because I think there is this perception that the person that cleans houses is super duper always on it, but nope, everyone's house gets messy. Social media is full of people PRETENDING to be perfect, it's nice when people are honest.

He sat there, drinking to ease his mental and physical pain, likely not wanting to bother anyone. I'm so glad he is in a safe place and hopefully going in a positive direction.

Hi, I have schizophrenia and alcohol use disorder(now treated with the sinclair method), and this is the house that shook me. If I didn't have family, I'd be one bad weekend from starting to turn my place into this kind of house. Thank you for what you do, and thank you for humanizing everyone who suffers from mental illness that gets into one of these situations.

I grew up in a hoarder house, and I want you to know that these videos have been incredibly therapeutic for me. Watching you tackle these difficult homes with empathy and kindness cuts through decades of shame I was carrying. Watching the process step by step makes something that was completely overwhelming and unfixable for me as a kid seem like something that CAN be tackled, and seeing the end result is just so satisfying, even if the home is seriously damaged.

You’re doing great work, and I appreciate you. ❤

This dude's funnier in the depths of burnout than most people are when they're 100% on their game.

I have spoken to psychiatric doctors, therapists and nurses with advance degrees and none of them have been able to explain the mental challenges that some people face as thoroughly as you can. I often show these videos to friends who have family members with mental challenges. I have been told it helps them to understand not just what's going on but how NOT to make the situation worse for the person they are worried about.
THANK YOU.

man, as someone who has struggled with depression from a young age, cleaning has always been an uphill battle that tires me even an hour in. it’s so refreshing to have someone explain for people like me on the how and why, with no sugar coating. what you do is so kind, and this world is blessed to have you, good luck with your grandbaby🙏

Dang, I've never heard of autistic burnout but upon hearing what it was with 3 months or more I IMMEDIATELY recognized it for what I felt with my own content last year. Very similar to depression, just had to get away from it all, and it impacted my revenue severely. Thank you for mentioning that here and I hope you end up not suffering from it too harshly, lord knows it's tough enough being on the spectrum as it is.

I want you to know not only do I enjoy your videos, voiceover and insights into ADHD, autism etc, but the way you stand up for yourself and don't put up with BS in your comments section, it's truly an inspiration that helps me find the words to deal with jerks in my own life. Thank you!

My husband passed away in August of 22. We had been separated for 3 years and have a son together. He wouldn’t ever let me go into his home after I left him. It wasn’t until he passed that I saw it. It was just like this. The only exception was that he had giant vodka bottles instead of beer boxes. He owned the mobile home but rented his lot. For the sake of the lot owners I tried so hard to clean it but there was no electricity and it was so bad. It was spilling over with roaches but it wasn’t until day 3 that I realized that it was full of black widow spiders and their egg sacks. That was where I drew the line. My husbands therapist (a clinical psychologist) diagnosed him as having schizophrenia (other things played into it) but he went in, came out and said “o there’s no question”. He was sick and I didn’t know. He drank and starved himself to death

I love it when you clean your house. It encourages those of us who struggle ongoingly with our houses that it's not a one and done. It's an ongoing process. I'm sure it encourages many that they are not alone.

I cannot even imagine being depressed to this point.
Poor fellow.
I am a nurse aide in long term care.
Every person has a story,
Most are terribly sad.
Non of us know another’s life story.
Bless his heart.
Bless you for helping.

Oh hun, love your attitude where you "just ban" people rather than suffer the stress of dealing with the out-of-line know-it-alls. I think it's the right move because I think I have the very same autism as you do. Mine is undiagnosed but I think it's the same thing - and I'm 70 +++ and have suffered with it my entire life.
And I think that table came from era 1940's because I have seen it a lot of places my entire life and bet that I hurt more than you when you said you had to throw it away.
Take care. Love to you and all your family. 🥰
