It's amusing how many instructors refuse to discuss the eye strike on an opponent trying a rear choke. It works and is a fight ender.

Not bad and fundamentally sound. The best choke defense that I have seen came from Professor Bradley Steiner's American Combato. I have used it a few time against street opponents. One was against a 300 pound steroid beast that was seen in the WWE. I would likely be dead if it wasn't for Professor Steiner. RIP Professor. Thank you.

Depends on what it is…if you got rear naked choked in the street, it means you weren’t paying enough attention to your surroundings. If its in an MMA fight or you are sitting down then this is a good technique.

If You get in rear naked choke and You see that it's to late to escape, don't forget to say "Hello Japan" and at least go to sleep with style :D
