Thanks a lot Shane, you are like an audiobook for those who is too busy or lazy to read from the source by themselves.

Awesome news. Not that I am a SRAM person but if Shimano doesn't get a Di2 105 out soon I might just become one

Initially I was rather dismayed when you said there were no auxiliary ports but, after some pondering, I see that it makes very clever marketing sense. We now see robot shifting at a position it's never been in before yet all the while keeping the next rungs on the upgrade ladder in their exalted place of desirability. Well played SRAM. Well played.

Wow. SRAM is doing their thing. This puts a whole new twist in the electronic shifter game. The Rival crank looks waay better than the Red.

As usual, very interesting! Now Shimano is forced to release 105 Di2!! Thanks for your videos because it helps me to progress my english, more than Dc rainmaker because I can't understand what he says ;-)

Honestly...this does change everything. This puts a pressure on Shimano to release a DI2 version of 105 "finally". Just surprised it took this long.

As a Shimano fan I have to say that I’m extremely impressed with this. A whole power meter Crankset for $350 and Shifter/Brakes for $200?! Absolutely mad! I think as long as the weight isn’t astronomical, quality isn’t appalling, and performance doesn’t suffer, it’s gonna have a huge effect on the OEM as well as the aftermarket.

Just ordered a Speedmax CF 7 eTAP with Rival AXS. So excited!

Excellent, great to see some progress.
Now all I am waiting on is an official spd conversion kit for Favero Assioma, and I will be happy lol

Thanks for the update! This sounds good. Now I just need it to trickle down to the eBay offerings for used components and I’ll consider it. Currently running Di2 6870 with 9070 shifters and bar end junction. (eBay $600). Which has been flawless on a bad day! 🤣

Spindle power meter is a cool setup, cheap and protected. Accurate enough for general training and is just there, without any fuss.

Shane did it again - the first one to report the big news! I am running RED 1x Aero, but wanted something similar for my winter/bad weather bike - seems that would be the perfect solution! Thanks Shane!

What's the problem with Shimano? Even for the 100 year event they didn't announce new products like the new Dura Ace Di2. Are they waiting for TDF, Tokyo or is there anything else wrong?

In current bike market people are paying to get weight (disc brakes and now this), my admiration and respect for these marketing guys.

Just installed the Rival upgrade on by Diverge and put it on my Neo 2T to see how they compare. Please to say with just doing the calibration and zero setting I ended up with and average power of 126w from the Rival and 128w from the Tacx running the trainer vs power meter power based workout (just under 20min). Watching the bike computer reading the Rival power and the PC reading the Tacx power while it down bounce around was within +-5watts most of the time. Good enough to make sure I am not slacking outside vs inside on the trainer.

That's cool! Looks like my next bike will have electronic shifting! My bike is still fine though, I'm curious how affordable will it be in like 2023

I used Rival 1x on a Cross bike for two years. I never held it's indexing and the bite point was annoying.
The lack of the bite point adjust on the shifter is a very big thing.

I watched this SRAM related video and noted an email from pushys AU online Australian store saying Rival AXS is IN STOCK and AVAILABLE on the same day the product is announced. This same scenario also happened with Force AXS (Pre COVID). Compare and contrast Shimano who announce stuff which usually available 3-6 months later. Why do Shimano do such an incredibly terrible job compared to SRAM with availability of new parts? Its it intentional or do they just suck at supply lines?
