This blessed me. Uriah seems to be the example of many people who often doubt themselves until we listen to what The Father says to us through his word about who we are because that’s who he created us to be before we even realized it. God’s words compel us to keep going even through falls and tears because we soon understand that what He says is really true and has been all along. We just have to keep what he says at the forefront of our minds. That’s the challenge! Uriah kept hearing his father’s voice and his mind began to transform from “I can’t” into “I can, and I will today!” Uriah went from not wanting to be bothered with a bike to wanting a dirt bike once he realized the truth. His father’s voice gave him hope and encouraged him to “see” success before it was within his reach because his father reminded him beforehand and continued to recite what he said before. We can do whatever The Father says. Period. We just have to be close to hear His voice. Whew! 😢

My Aunt, who lived in the suburbs with my cousins, came into the city to visit us. Once she found out I didn’t know how to ride a bike, she forced me to learn. She held on to the back of the bike as I peddled. Over and over, up and down the sidewalk. All of a sudden I realized my Aunt couldn’t run as fast as I was going. Sure enough, she’d let go long ago and off I went on that bike. I learned to ride in one day. That was a good memory to recollect.

Uriah being able to clearly articulate at 7 that he doesn't believe in himself says a lot about the good parenting you both do. It's awesome to see you immediately acknowledge and reaffirm him. Though he said it was the worst day of his life I believe he'll look back at this day as one of his most valuable days. You all are beautiful

Beleaf, that is the deepest summation of family support. “ we believe in you enough that you believe in yourself”. Put it in a Hallmark card. Way to build a strong support system amongst your children that will last their whole lives. Beautiful thing to see. Bless up 🙏🏿

Two neighbor boys, who were a few years older, taught our boy to ride a bike. We tried to teach him for years and they taught him in less than an hour. Go figure.

So proud of Uriah. It’s never as hard as you build it up to be in your head. I taught myself how to ride a bike at 5 years old. I asked my dad to take my training wheels off because I wanted to be like my big sister. My parents didn’t think I would actually learn so young. But one day they looked out the window and I was teaching myself. When I get discouraged about something I always try to remember that I’m the same little girl that was determined to do something and did it all by myself.

This is so encouraging... coming from a woman who allowed fear at a young age keep me from learning how to ride a bike. I'm going to learn now... there's so many gems in this video. 💜
