What is DICOM?

DICOM means Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine. DICOM is a standart format for medical images. This images need to be viewed by specific softwares called DICOM Viewer.

What is PACS?

The DICOM Images and related patient data are often stored in a large database called Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). DICOM softwares store images and patient data to PACS and retrieve them from PACS. DICOM Viewer can view patient images like MRI, PET-CT and Computed Tomography. Medical examinations and radiological measurements can be done with these applications.

I like PostDicom but I dont see any info on where servers are located, hipaa compliance etc. Have you actually verified this company is in good standing and can sign a BAA? Woulf defintely use if they do. Radiologist here. Thanks.
