Will this awning allow rain between the wall & the awning. I currently have a door that gets moisture bc there is no eave above it. I was looking to install an awning to protect the doorway from moisture. Thx!

If you don't have 10 vertical inches of clear space on the wall, can this be installed on the eaves? If I were to install it on the eaves, I would have 10 inches of clearance below the eaves. Looking at buying one of these.
