Godfrey of Bouillon: The First Ruler of Crusader Jerusalem!

Godfrey of Bouillon was a crusader who partook in the First Crusade, called by Pope Urban II. His dedication, piety, bravery and intelligence are well noted by his contemporaries and in the literature from the time. Hailing from France, he made the journey to the Holy Land, and his impact was remarkable. Capturing many cities, and winning several battles, he was amongst the first men upon the walls of Jerusalem during the taking of the city.
