If you are planning to use the 3g pump with a wavemaker you will hear the famous clicking, clack sound every time it starts up.I thought by now in 2017 companies would have figured out how to eliminate that start up sound you can hear across the room.I just leave it on all the time.

How many gph would you recommend for a 55 gallon reef tank with lps and polyps. Also what power heads would you recommend.

For what it is this is a decent pump but it is very over priced. You can buy a Jebao RW wireless/controllable/DC pump for the same price.
