That’s healthy, honest leadership right there. And it’s a disgrace that he had to face so much verbal and other abuse during this tournament. It’s utterly incomprehensible to me, really. And I’m Dutch. I heard a journalist tell someone on the radio that ‘the criticism made Southgate stronger’. That is utter nonsense. It’s rather that Southgate’s strength somehow made him endure the abuse whilst coaching the team to the final. Abuse is never okay. I hope he & the team beat Spain and win the final.

Lucky with the penalty, didn't watch it live but they looked much better in the highlights. That's all people can and will ask for. After that it's just down to the night and goes either way.
