This is the legendary last performance with Chris Franke. The recording is in excellent FM broadcast quality. Part of the concert is quite similar to the gigs played during the 1986 tours (especially the compositions taken from the albums Le Parc and Underwater Sunlight), but there are a number of compositions that were played live only on this very concert, including the rare Dolphin Smile and the instrumental version of Smile.

Tangerine Dream at their absolute PEAK !!!! With the perfect lineup of Edgar Froese, Chris Franke, Paul Haslinger. Some albums before this lineup are off course classics but sadly very few after. Canyon Dreams perhaps the best of those. Sadly never got to see them live.

I was there. They had to play at rather low volume levels because of some restriction due to the close city environment. Finally I can hear it at proper volumes!

Superb! What a year ‘87 was, and what a performance too. Paul Haslinger performing with precision a medley of piano parts, not even rivalled by the current line up (which I must confess I’m no fan of) can’t even get the piano part of Ricochet part 2 right). I hope everyone had their volume set to number 11 for Ride on the Ray.
