SGX Cares Outreach – Sports Workshop with AWWA 2022

From July to October 2022, SGX Cares Outreach initiated a weekly pilot programme for children at AWWA School @ Bedok, a specialised school for children with autism spectrum disorder, to experience sports activities outside their school curriculum.
Our #TeamSGXGroup volunteers would spend every Tuesday morning interacting with the children, doing exercise drills, playing games and enjoying the outdoors together. The activities were curated for the children to use their sensory skills and participate in the activities with support from our volunteers. These were small steps for them to adapt to a different environment with hope that the experience can be applied in their daily lives at home or in the community.
