Blu-ray Hunt #66 22/06/20

Hi everyone today I go to two different HMV’s and pick up a few from CEX as well so join me (on the bus) for a movie hunt, hope you enjoy.

Life and planet earth are two of my favourite Attenborough documentaries, they're just stunning. I think you're going to love them! Can't beat the first season of misfits either, definitely the best one!

Hi Alan! I've seen that Hitler/ Bigfoot ting at my local Wal mart over here before it all hit the fan/ But it was 14:99 so I thought I'd wait for it to go down. Which it might have by now I don't know. Can't go wrong with Attenborough nature docs. Take care Alan!

Nice pickups, I bought The Babe with John Goodman on blu ray from ebay, came in the mail yesterday. Not sure what my next ebay buy will be though, I'm either thinking of Caught in the Crossfire, Don McKay (That's the actual name of the movie) or Kon-Tiki

Watchman tv series is great hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Birds of prey I was a little disappointed with but still fun. The wire tv series is on the watch list as I have just started sons of anarchy but maybe the wire after as heard it’s really good. Great to see Worthing hmv open. Great video I picked up some stuff this week to I picked up the original father of the bride with Spencer Tracey and I picked up a couple Doris Day films my dream is yours lucky me and I also picked up a Marilyn Monroe one there’s no business like show business and I picked up high Society

I enjoyed Birds of prey, i think it would have been a lot better if the film was about the birds of prey though, hopefully we get a sequel, Misfits was a great series, i have them on dvd, maybe i should upgrade, thanks Alan

Hi Alan, some really nice pick ups again this week. The Wire is a brilliant series, probably the most realistic tv series ever made. Did you know that the makers of the show actually hired real (ex) criminals to plan parts on the show? It's unlike anything else HBO has done. Also a brilliant role from Idris Elba on that show. Thanks to you i have been getting into the BBC nature documentaries these last weeks. I bought Planet Earth II, Blue Planet II, Seven Worlds One Planet and Dynasties all on 4K. I'm enjoying them a lot, amazing work from the BBC. Thanks as always for the video, take care and see you again next week mate 🐸👍

Nice! I loved Misfits watched it weekly when it was on, wouldn’t mind revisiting it soon. I need to watch The Wire still, The Sopranos is my favourite but that and The Wire are often at the top of people’s lists 👍

Hey Alan. The Man who killed Hitler & then bigfoot is really good. Sam Elliot can do no wrong 🙂. I've yet to bring myself to watch Birds of Prey. I've heard so many bad reports. Let us know what you think when you see it.
I'm a big fan of the Greek wedding movies. The Greek families remind me a lot of big irish families (oh and theres John Corbett 😛).

Hey mate, yeah, my family said you have been having some great weather over there! What, Costa!?!?! McDonald's are gonna be livid, lol.
I really need to watch the Wonders documentary, heard some great things. The Cars movies get a lot of hate, but In enjoy them. Both Life and Planet Earth are amazing docs, and they look amazing on blu ray. Everyone recommends The Wire, one I need to get watching.

I have never seen any of the Wire series. The Man Who Killed Hitler and Then the Bigfoot is not too bad of a film. I would rate the film 5/10. Take care buddy! 😎👍👍

ever watched & you will enjoy & be in grossed in, each season they have a separate theme for the main storyline.
The creator David Simon made a mini series named "The Corner" which is set in Baltimore like in "The Wire" & could be
classed as a prequel or companion piece to "The Wire" with a few actors & actresses in both playing characters in opposite sides of the law, if interested a UK dvd is a few quid, but not released on blu ray.

Title and Sam Elliot were the main reasons I got "Man Who Killed Bigfoot..."... haven't seen it yet but I hear the title is the plot pretty much but it's better than you may think! I got the German 4K Limited Collector's Edition I like Sam so much as an actor; CinemaDeviant has him as an American Icon (or similar words) and to me he always brings even the (potentially) cheesiest or B- movies up at least one or two places
