OPHIR PASS AND SILVERTON TO DURANGO TRAIN RIDE

In part 3 of our Colorado trip we ride the jeep across Ophir pass and also ride the steam engine train from Silverton, Colorado to Durango, Colorado. Highly recommend taking this train ride!

Miss those hills in fall colors, was raised in Gunnison, went to college in Montrose where I met my wife to be she had relation in Ridgeway . My brother & a friend were coming home from college in Durango in the winter and skidded off the road on the million dollar highway at coalbank hill, close to a thousand ft. Drop, they both lived but my brother took years to recuperate & never was quite the same . So drive those roads carefully, they aren't for racing !! Good video ! :-)

I have been to Silverton several times and oray CW McCall wrote a song called black bear pass in the song talks about that road you’re on right now it looks like a bunch ZZ and W-s and you’ll have to listen to it it describes that rug should see the train ride done that myself it’s amazing glad you guys are having a great time or had a great time on your trip to Colorado you pick the best place to go.
