Clearly he wasnt given his normal, huge, awesome heads and cabs to play through here.. It sounds like hes playing through a little combo amp or something like that.. And i personally love these kinds of demos because it takes all the high priced gear out of the equation, and brings a good touring guitarist in a big band, back down to earth a bit.. That tone, through a 6505 etc. and a 4x12, probably sounds killer, like on the record..

Seriously though, whoever picked the amp/cab/mic for this needs to watch a tutorial or two. I don't claim to be any good at it but I know what For Today sounds like, this ain't it.
