In this video I breakdown the difference between the Amazon freight Partner program in comparison to the Amazon Relay program. I also parallel this middle mile lane to Amazons final mile lane and compare with the Delivery Service Partner program and Amazon flex.

Man I have been doing Amazon Relay for about 2 years with 1 semi and never understood why freight fluctuated the way it did on the Amazon Relay side, but the way you broke it down has opened my eyes up to the way their freight game is played so now I can attack for the win! Thanks for the knowledge and now I understand! I will look into the AFP in hopes of something bigger

I don't work in trucking but I had to look something up about Amazon Freight vs. Relay for my job, and I couldn't have come across a more useful video. You're looking at the same websites I was browsing through, and saying so much more to explain what's going on. Thank you!!!!

I especially want to say it's so much more credible with you going to the primary source -- the Amazon websites, and breaking it down right from there. Super detailed, very informative.

There covering maintenance most likely because they leasing the trucks with maintenance plan included. That 40, 000 is like a franchise fee, your exactly right. They aren't in business of managing a trucking company so they set you up with a business inside a business.

Very solid information for anyone who's considering doing business with Amazon.

New here to the channel and the topic. Here is the summary (my rough understanding)

1. Amazon Freight Partner (AFP) and Amazon Deliver Server Partner (DSP) are both programs to work with Amazon to deliver packages.
2. AFP needs 40k investment, they provide 5 trucks. Actual profit margin is 3 to 6 % profit but they advertise it as 10% which is misleading
3. AFP is long term where Amazon has vested interest. DSP is short-term. You only get work if that can't fit in ASP trucks.
4. AFP gives you health insurance and other benefits; DSP may not. While ASP contracts are long-term, DSP contracts are short-term, in weeks and months.
4. You get consistent work with AFP but not so with DSP.

In my view, both are good programs and provide opportunities for two different groups of people. Nothing wrong with either one. But the margin Amazon is projecting is an overestimation. Overall very good informative video and spot on. That is the only video I watched on this topic so my info may not be entirely accurate.

Amazon relay is live loads to local post office's and center to center, you probably wont see a Amazon 53' trailer at a post office.

Hey Mark thanks for sharing your experience…
On “net profit” ….typically that’s what’s left over after all “salaries and expenses”.
So after everyone is paid, including owner salary, and all expenses are paid…. NET is what’s left over, free and clear.

Now when you get the 5 day cabs do Amazon provide you with the off-site to park the trucks at or you gotta find a off-site yourself?

Ive been a company driver with the Amazon freight partner program for almost 2 years now.. 1st trucking fresh out of trucking school, decent money to start, flexible hours. Good starter job. Not sure about how much money the owner op makes but he still drives trucks sometimes.
