ABOUT THIS VIDEO
The Soundcore Sleep A20 earbuds are one of the latest to try and fill what seems to me to be a huge gap in the sleep headphones category.

I've used them for over a month now, and have mostly been very impressed by them, with just a couple of issues here and there. Fortunately, those don't prevent me from using them for what I most want them for - small and comfortable headphones that I can use when lying on my front or side.

In theory, you can wear any headphones on your back, but it's the other two positions that pose the biggest challenge to sleep headphones. I think the lack of active noise cancellation, while an issue for some people, is the biggest reason they are so small. So as always, it's a case of deciding what's more important to you - ANC or comfort.

In the video, I also share the results of some noise masking tests I did, using both the sleep sounds on the Soundcore app and my own audio. I thought about testing them against other noise sources too, but decided to focus on snoring and music in the video.

A couple of people have asked me about the entry for 'Nothing in ear' in the comfort test scores. This does not refer to the audio company called 'Nothing'. It just means I was not using any headphones or earplugs, so there is literally nothing in my ears.

Fabulous review. I especially like the comparison charts. I have been using my A20 sleep buds for about 3 weeks now. I had to replace my Bose sleep buds after about 3 years of use. The A20 is a great choice for me and does more than the Bose in many respects.

Great review! Thank you for your time and editing. Just for anyone interested, I have had a pair of Acoustic Sheep Sleep Phones since 2021. I have beaten the crap out of them and they still work. They are fidgety and fall off your head a lot but if your like me, a 95% side sleeper than they do relieve the most ear pain. I keep a pair of Airpod 2 pro's by my bed as my emergency bad neighbor ANC's! ; )

Seriously, amazing review. I had sleeping problems all my life and unfortunatelly easily distracted during my sleep even with a very small amount of noise. I am using my normal earbuds mostly listening brown noise for a year and I realized that many People suffer this so they already created special earbuds for this.

Anyway, I realized a20 option, and I was just checking on YouTube. And I watched your video with my mouth open! Amazing review, so comprehensive. Seriously helpfull. And I will order as quick as possible, again many thanks for your helpfull video review.

Thanks for the review. It's 2am right now. I'm up because sometimes my brain decides to chase its own tail. My partner is a light sleeper so having some nature sounds going for an hour to distract my brain so I can fall asleep is a no go for him. I've tried regular ear buds but they tend to fall out or are uncomfortable in the pillow side ear. Having some noise to "focus" on is sometimes essential to distract my brain until I fall asleep.

Very impressed with these buds. They're a bit pricy imo. But they work well. I've long used Galaxy buds 2 for sleep as they're smaller. But these are much more comfy in that regard. Great sound quality as well. Sound much better than i thought they would given their size.
