I actually find it very satisfying if I am waiting to install an application and the loading bar is stuck and then it randomly goes like 10-20% into the loading it is very satisfying.

It's an impressive feat by the programmers to actually even allow for finite, continuous loading bars. Not only do they resemble the real world analog progress meters, but they also require the programmer to allow the software to record the number of tasks and calculate progress based on that, and even in a deployed app it's very likely that the number of tasks can vary significantly
