That New England style house was amazing. The shared bathroom was small, but they could have sold their house and walked away with no mortgage and renovating funds to make the same bathroom Hilary made them in their old house. Financially and potentially esthetically - that house was a steal. Maybe they did an inspection and it had issues? Maybe they liked Hilary's design? But they won't keep it that way. Their house was a mess, and it will probably be a mess again. I guess if they have more space, they'll make a bigger mess... I love the house David found them. Wow.

Once they reclutter their newly remodeled home then they’ll start looking for another uncluttered home. They really need to clean up after themselves!!

I’m glad they kept their house. Let someone else buy the other house that would put more time into taking better care of it. They would junk up the larger place and the wife would complain about walking from point A to B to get stuff done. Their home’s exterior needs TLC and the large fallen tree in the backyard sticks out like a sore thumb. It takes dedicated time to keep up a house and they aren’t committed or just too busy. Folks like this are why HOAs exist which are a pain, but can be a benefit when regular lawn care is included for owners that don’t keep up regular maintenance.

They won't make money by the time they pay realtor commissions and closing costs plus inspections. They might also have to make repairs and get less than projected price. The other house wasn't really family friendly with the steep lot. And the kitchen was less nice. Open concept is much more sellable, so if they decide to upgrade in the future, the current house will sell better. TFS

He seems like a peach. She is a shrew. She’s demanding, insulting, and she mocks her husband. His office is neat and tidy; hers looks like a thrift store exploded. I don’t think it’s the house that needs fixing….

The other house they liked had awful cupboards, terrible colours in all the rooms. It wasn’t very updated plus was shaped like a barn. I’m glad they decided to love it!

I loved the new kitchen and bathroom of their house. I would love the house as well

I am surprised that wife said she was wants a clean & bigger space. They are not cleanliness couple. They also cluttered boxes. A bigger house means bigger stuff. Clean up what you are in first.
