The pandemic’s effects still haven’t loosened their grip on New York’s schools. A new report by the state comptroller shows the 2022-2023 school year was marked by nearly 30 percent of all students missing 18 or more school days. Rochester’s high school students struggling more than any other in the large city measurement—with a staggering 71.8 percent absent from RCSD.

It’s not just new York but California to . I went back to college, & there was only 4-5 people in each class..

With all Rochester is saying they are doing to help the Rochester kids, you have to wonder what their parents are doing. Being poor is no excuse. I hope while listening to the kids as to what they want to attend school, they are also being taught that the work environment is not as lienent as school. These kids need to understand responsibility on their part is also required. There are too many employers looking for help and finding demanding children instead of adults ready to wotk.
