I have had no issues whatsoever with these in 2-3+ years since they were applied. I have them on 3 electrics and 1 acoustic, with 1 of the electrics and the acoustic being played constantly at home and at gigs.

I've had my original ones on 4 different guitars for 3+ years and have had 0 problems with any of them lifting or peeling. Constant playing on 2 of the guitars. If you apply them right, they just work. I don't own or sell the stickers, so I have no vested interest in them working or not...just my experience.

Looks nice, but I can't help but feel that putting inlay stickers on a $2000 guitar is a lot like putting 'truck nuts' on a Bentley.

This is extremely good editing and the tree of life looks amazing on it. Great video

Hi, I bought pretty much the same inlays as you, the tree of life and tried putting the first couple on but there was no stick and they wouldnt detach from the clear tape and stay on the fretboard... why is this exactly? and also, if I was to clean the fretboard beforehand with lemon oil, how long to wait before it is suitable to attach the stickers? Thanks for any help at all (=

I genuinely appreciate your nice comment. I always try and make them a little more professional than what you normally see on here. I have played the guitar MANY times live and at home and have not had a single problem with these stickers. Everyone thinks I have a $7, 000 custom Taylor.

should i clean the fretboard with lemon oil without the inlay stickers or with them on?

So this was applied in 2011. What do they look like today?

Very nice! Was lucky years ago to get a cutaway Jumbo Washburn Cumberland J28 at Mars music 15 years ago. With a beautiful tree of life inlay limited run for Mars only. Still have it today and plays beautiful. Nice playing man!

Not a fan of this at all. It is fake inlay. Fells like putting a turbo sticker on you Honda. That is a great guitar as it was. I guess more like putting a M sticker on a nice 328i.

The way I have to look at this product is 1. If it doesn't prevent me from care of the neck. 2. If the product will not damage the neck. 3. Should I want them off or I would like another design the ease of removing them. 4. Do the abalone ones appear to be real or does it look fake. (can't see that in video)

I'd clean the fingerboard well with naphtha (lighter fluid) and then with rubbing alcohol before applying the decals to be absolutely sure that all of the skin oil and dirt is removed for a tight bond with the decal adhesive.  Like others, I'm curious to know if a VERY light subsequent application of lemon oil can be applied over the fingerboard and decals to enrich the wood fingerboard without risking the oil seeping under the decals and causing them to peel.  The decal adhesive is actually probably even better suited over a cleaned lacquered fingerboard such as a Telecaster because the adhesive would surely bond better to a hard-finished wood surface rather than a raw wood surface.  One comment regarding the decals themselves is that I suppose that it's possible for them to be custom made so that the decals extend right up to the frets themselves to be trimmed with a razor if necessary so that they appear more like authentic inlays.  I suppose that the ends of the decals are held short so that they're easier to apply and also so that they can accommodate varying neck scales.
