I've currently invested so much into my bandit that I can just about put all the old parts into a new car, I've got drag slash receiver, all red aluminum parts except for chassis yet, bl2s power system, integy transmission with a locker and a 3d printed aero kit. Can't wait to finish it up!

My stock XL5 Rustler does 26 mph with the 7 cell NiMH, 24 mph with the 2S LiPo. But with 28t pinion, 76t spur the NiMH does 39 mph and 2S LiPo does 40. Checked with GNSS.

Traxxas has good trail trucks but if you want a rock crawler, you should go with an Axial SCX10 Pro or Vanquish VRD Carbon.

That motor/esc combo with the 2speed trx4 is awesome. With the 2 speed you get slow control and a little speed.

Nice I’d use a Hobbywing Fusion. It’s been 110 deg. In Bakersfield Ca. I’ve been working there for a month & returning home to Ventura Ca. which was 66 deg & foggy when I got back this weekend talk about a difference. 🥵😶‍🌫️

An “Ultimate Bandit” would be a cool release. The drag slash transmission. All of the HD upgrades. Brushless system. TSM. Lights. Throw the Traxxas upgrades parts bin at it!

My son races a Bandit in 1/10 midwest mod. Looks like mudbus. Has 2nd fastest car at attitude rc. 1st I believe is an associated. Owner sponsored, gets parts, batteries, motors. He has been beaten by this Slash. His cars very well set up, really good driver. This is 17.5 class. I have done some tricks to car.

So I think why people are getting a bit upset is because they're looking at these like traxxas released this as a new rc.. when they're just updating old models.. I'm not sure why they didn't bl-2s this one but still upgraded it for the better.. I haven't looked but I'm guessing there's also a price bump.. so it's just up to the consumer if they wanna get the OG bandit or the updated version.. or if you have one.. get the hd kit or run it how it is.. 😎🤘🏽
