Every child deserves a parent, but not every parent deserves a child.

I'm surprised at Ballotelli's story i am a Ghanaian myself and it makes me thank the Lord to have 2 loving parents and siblings

Adebayor story is so real for many an African son, everybody feels entitled to your hard earned income to a point where they curse you when you aren’t able to help them, and when you start helping them they expect you to do it until they are pensioners and even then they’ll still want you to hand stuff to them, because somehow unbeknown to you, your money is theirs too and for as long as you’re working they don’t need to work! This sadly is hardly done by your parents but everyone else!

Ahh yes Mr. Depay…you giving your son a ball definitely means you were there for him!

Sometimes to become the best version of yourself, you have to cut everyone off. It's not like your family is going anywhere. As a footballer, you have limited years to play and those members of your family that love you will always be there.

It’s a little bit crazy how many of these amazingly talented athletes have stories of parents who abandon them

Thumbnail: Homeless mother

Video: Van Djik had a single mother taking care of him and siblings

Edit:-

My brain: Don’t do it, it annoys people.
My experience: Hell nah, it decreases likes.

Me: “OmG 400 LiKeS! tHaNk YoU gUyS”

As a person that despise his father, I confirm that some parents are so bad that they believe they always had their children's best in mind.

Not all families are families, @ some point, you just have to go your way & do your thing ALONE, it is called "PEACE OF MIND".

Michael Essien had issues with his father, even though he didn't drop the surname. Essien Senior demanded that Essien stop using his name and even threatened to sue him. This emotional blackmail forced Michael to provide some financial support to his father.
In the NBA, Jalen Rose never met his father, who was a former NBA player.
Kobe fell out with his parents as they didn't approve his future wife, Vanessa. Their relationship worsened further when the parents tried to auction off his sports memorabilia.

And they wonder why Deli went off the rails in the last few years. Childhood trauma is so powerful that even such a gifted player couldnt go pass it

I’m a Liverpool supporter but i feel sorry for Dele up until now we have seen him come out and tell us the truth about his childhood and i believe that this is why he went from being brilliant as Steve G wanted Liverpool to sign him to being depressed and falling out of form but now he’s talking about it i really hope that he can get back to playing with the finesse he has got. Well in mate you deserve a second chance and i really hope you take it

It's not just footballers it happens in all walks of life.

Man some of these ladies that we get involved when you no longer together they make sure your life becomes complex, seeing the kids becomes almost impossible until one day you decide to stop making efforts because you're constantly being pinned down. You keep leaving clues so that when the child has grown enough, he/she will not have a tough time finding daddy. It becomes so so complicated to the extent that the best thing to do is to walk away. If you've never worn that shoe then you wouldn't understand where it hurts.

As a father, this is sad AF. You have to be a special kind of person to just write off your child like these parents did.

dele’s full childhood story is so sad, no child should have to deal with that 😞
