Im not Jewish but I've watched dozens of the shoahs testimonies. My parents were from Albania and they told me about antisemitism and the Holocaust. Even my parents that were not educated, somehow knew all about it. Thank you for sharing this important history. Im sure it wasn't easy but you did well.

My dad fought in WWII but in the Philippines. My mom though in high school during WWII and growing up in America, taught about the Holocaust when we were teens. Thank you for doing these interviews. I have learned even more. Such a sad time in history but needs to be taught to new generations.

Thanking Vera Chapman really loved listening to her testimony especially after her family made it to Israel.
I have watched many many survivor testimonies and I always used to say this must never happen again..
And it's beyond heartbreaking that Israel suffered another Holocaust.

Ms Chapman didn't consider herself to be a holocaust survivor, but being hounded all over Europe must have been horrific. Even if children didn't understand fully what was going on, they would pick up on their parents' anxiety and fear. Here in Europe schoolchildren are now being taught about the Holocaust, but as an 81 year old who grew up in Ireland I can tell you we were definitely not taught about it. I pray a lasting solution is found soon so that Israelis and Palestinians can live side by side in peace and safety. My best wishes to Ms Chapman and her family.

Ms Chapman I would like to say thank you so very much for telling your story and of others. It goes without saying that I am so sorry from the bottom of my heart for what was done to you and all the Jewish people in the Shoah. I am not Jewish but my late Dad lost close family during the Second World War as did my late Mum. He very much feared for future generations and carried such deep sadness for the many atrocities that were carried out. He educated me about many things, especially history and specifically about the Shoah. I was young so it probably didn’t really resonate with me but as an adult I can barely comprehend all that happened. I am 63 and often mention this to others. What I find very hard to comprehend is that many people have no interest in history. I wish I knew why? When we look around the world now in 2024 it’s blatantly clear to me that if anything your story must be shared, collated even more because lessons still haven’t been learned. History shows us all that horror can occur again and we all must work towards teaching everyone at school to realise this because it must never, ever be forgotten.
I have listened to many testimonials and I wish everyone would. I think all schools should be required to teach age appropriate information and show these videos along with historical records. You are so brave to tell us all you endured. Sending my love to you and your family and to everyone who has suffered. 💐🥰🙅‍♀️
