Professor Longhair, the unkown genuis of American music, you will be hard pressed to find a finer pianist as "FESS" stands beside Art Tatum, James Booker, Horace Tapscott and Errol Garner, as the top piano men in history!

Fess continued and designed a New Orleans based musical style that inspired musicians the world over. I pray that some day, he recieves proper recognition for his contributions to American music; he truly is one of the architects of Rock & Roll & Funk!

Long live Professor Longhair!

Can anyone name the Meters musicians who are backing up Fess in this clip? The clip claims to be from 1974, so I would guess they are Art Neville, keys; Leo Nocentelli, guitar; George Porter Jr., bass; and Zigaboo Modeliste, drums. But also there's a guy on congas so I don't know who that might be. What do you think? Thank you.
