The Leading Towards Justice Symposium is an annual gathering of educational leaders, family and youth leaders, community-based organizational leaders, and scholars.

Join us on February 7 & 8, 2025 for the Leading Towards Justice Symposium

This year’s Symposium invites workshop presenters to share practices that can evolve our collective leadership towards justice-seeking in education.
From sociopolitical turmoil and global violence to budget deficits and school closures, we recognize that educators and leaders everywhere are facing enormous challenges to building learning environments rooted in the brilliance of Black, Indigenous, Latiné, Asian American, and Pacific Islander youth; this is precisely why how we lead matters.

Event hosted by the Just Ed Leadership Institute, Leadership for Learning Program, Danforth Educational Leadership Program, and the UW Teacher Education Program.

The University of Washington College of Education, one of the nation's top 15 education schools, strives to transform inequitable systems of education to create just, sustainable and culturally-thriving democracies by engaging in dynamic, collaborative partnerships, practices and research.
