Brandon Cobb breaks down how he goes to a new lake and begins his search to find the best bass fishing spots in the winter. This was his first day on a new lake, and he starts with walking us through what he looks for on his map and then on his electronics. Then it becomes a matter of fishing the areas relative to the forage on the lake and what can cover the water the most efficiently with the water temperatures. He likes a crankbait when the clarity and mood of the fish allows because he can cover more water faster.

This is video covers how he begins his search. We'll have more from this shoot on how he expanded his search and areas to find the better bass on the lake.

I bank fish year round and real rockey area's sutch as just below dam's are great area's yes the rock's do hold heat and that's where I've found the bothe the bait fish and the game fish hold very close to yet you still have to granny gear your retreave to where your just about smacking every thing on the bottom at a very slowe pase in the winter months bass are in no mood to chance after any thing it's hit and miss

Winter WHERE??? "winter" is a very relative term when talking about bass fishing...."winter" down south bears no resemblance to winter up in the North never even mention the water temperature in your short video...also, you talk about channel bends, which I must assume are at the very least, 30-40 feet of water, yet, you are using a crankbait that runs maybe 6-7 feet
