Have you started your YouTube channel yet? What is it about? Let me know!

knowing your avatar makes creating content so much easier. it is not always it's about YOU but THEM! the viewer!

Love this emphasis on the 3 Ps! Passion is the most important one for me. I found since I started making videos about things I'm genuinely passionate about, rather than just following what everyone else does, my watch time has increased. It's always so clear to the viewer if you make videos based on what you love rather than just to follow trends

I first uploaded to this YouTube channel at the start of 2022 and started out as a Reaction Channel as that was the easiest way to share what I am Passionate for which isn’t just one thing… as I’m Passionate about Pop Culture.

So I react to the latest trailers for movies and video games and do a series reacting to a season of a show from a franchise I already enjoy, this allows me to share my positivity towards these fandoms and start conversations with those same likeminded fans.

Now I’m starting to expand upon the content I make by introducing reviews, rants, speculation (etc.) type of videos into the mix and I’m enjoying what I’m doing while also finding mild success still (I’m almost half way to 1k within a year because of this).

Proficiency wise I’m pretty good at using Adobe and continue to learn new ways of editing on both Photoshop and Premiere Pro + my friends always tell me how passionate I am when I talk about the things I like, especially since I send voice notes instead of text messages nowadays lol so I guess I’m proficient with talking 😅 besides that I once had a Pokémon Channel about 6 years ago that was close to 2k subs but I lost the interest for it BUT since then I have taken everything I’ve learned, what did and didn’t work, and have implemented it into my YouTube plan whilst educating myself with the help of VidIQ and Think Media.

At first I started this new channel as a hobby to interact with more people online but have gained enough confidence to start thinking of turning this into a business/career and have took the action to turn my old loft space into a YouTube Studio for myself and move my PC and equipment out of the bedroom to make more time for recording more content.

In my own opinion 2023 is looking bright for me and I wish plenty of success to all new small creators who are upcoming in the years to come 🙏🏻 good luck everyone and happy holidays! ✌🏻

I've been extremely hesitant with switching from music production to video production. This video resonated for sure, even though I'm a VRA member. It's crazy how content works. Thanks for making this Sean.

When I first started I was doing hair, travel, relationships literally anything that came to my mind when I should’ve just stuck to doing feminine health and wellness, that’s something I’m super passionate about and can talk about all day long. Now I feel more aligned I’m hoping to experience more growth

Very good for clarification for most who may not get this, business element.

Some people just fall into place mostly from having fun or just wanting
to share, but it works out.

I've been an outdoor adventurer for years and absolutely love it. I'm also a recruiter by profession so I have this innate desire to help inspire, educate, and connect people with their first outdoor adventure. I really believe that getting out in nature would be good for everyone. It's rare to find quiet places these days, self reflection is rare. Backpacking makes you appreciate things and feel gratitude for all the things you have in your life. It also reminds you how small you are and how beautiful the world can be. Lastly it gets you outside of your comfort zone and puts a discrete challenge in front of you that you can totally do! Put all that together and you've got my channel Chase Adventures!

Sean made a good point when he said "What do you know a little bit more than other people?" I tend to be very critical of myself and that stops my momentum. Thanks.

I started with vloggin, and was trying to get into photography and filmmaking, but lately I've been wanting to focus more on psychotherapy and mental health. I'm not a psychologist or therapist, but I find I have a knack for those deeper conversations with friends and sharing my growth experience in a way that could help others. I still want to do videos for me tho and make videos I enjoy, such as adventures and stuff I do.

My specific niche is etiquette/manners, which I know is too narrow for profitability with wider masses, but I couple it with menswear, elegant living, and personal brand to broaden it out (general 'gentleman-sphere' topics). Yet to go full send into content product.

Happy to hear anyone ideas on how they adapt / broaden their niche to maximise reach and long-term profitability.

This is by far one of the most valuable videos I've searched for! It made a lot of things click for me. I'm a teacher that wants to help other teachers earn extra income with a side hustle using my digital marketing knowledge. What would be the next step to learn more. Many teachers are leaving teaching because they're not happy with their situation

Glad have found this topic. Am currently in doubt whether to continue my recently created channel. I just realized I have lots of competition in this chosen niche though this is what I am passionate to do. Thanks for sharing the 3P's..

Always so valuable! I inquired about this a few weeks ago to see if the starter kit has changed. I purchased the starter kit before, but it didn’t have the niche finder.

I think whatever I'm doing, whether it's crafts, hauls, reviews, even when I did real estate years ago, or phone design, I loved teaching or showing or educating. When I learn something or master it, I enjoy talking about it to help others. I like show how to do nails, or a craft project, or how to save or compare a product. I know I'm all over the place, but my passion is creating something myself and then sharing or teaching about it.

I am photographer for the past 10 years who love to travel, good street food and cooking. Initially I started my YT channel in 2007 but only upload in 2012 with Faith Seminar. Then left YT channel dead for the past 10 years to concentrate on Photography. Then last Oct 2022 while on a trip to Khao Kho, Thailand, I got that passion of videography instead of photography. Back home I started do a crash learning on Video editing and Youtube with Think Media and vidIQ. I posted Travel, food and cooking. Then I realised I have to focus on one specific topic and that topic is Asia Street Food which I love while I travel. Thank you, Sean. I believe you guys make me to be focus and grow gradually.
