Chapter 15: Kinetics of a Particle : Impulse and Momentum
Hibbeler Dynamics 14th edition

15–2. A 20-lb block slides down a 30° inclined plane with an initial velocity of 2 ft/s. Determine the velocity of the block in 3 s if the coefficient of kinetic friction between the block and the plane is mk = 0.25.

Why does the mass (20lb) need to be divided by 32.2? The given value is mass (in lb) and not weight (in Newtons)

between the 20sin30 and the friction force which one is acting in the positive direction. i don't get how their signs swapped.
