I have to say, having been previously married twice to Icelandic women and lived in Reykjavik for a short time, I can say that Icelanders are pretty plain and unremarkable people but the topography of their country is truly spectacular. You wouldn’t want to live there though…

Iceland is a very small country, seriously, there are less than 300, 000, which depends completely on globalization for its high standard of living, but does not allow foreign people to live in its territory. The message they deliver is clear: "we want your products, we want your money, but we don't want you."

I was there a few years ago and I loved it. If you don't like crowded places and like seeing as few people as possible that's the place to be. With all the natural beauty as well, it's a true magical place indeed.
Don't go to the capital though, the prices are ridiculous and not many things to see & do, lots of tourist traps.
I would like to go to the north, more natural beauty, cheaper and even less people.

Icelandic women are stunningly beautiful!. We went there for a visit, both my ex GF and I noticed even airport workers are so pretty. There is a reason why Icelandic women won the Miss World title multiple times.

Norwegian vikings had build up Iceland to a new nation from nothing over 1000 years ago, but also mixed with celts/irish more than Norwegians in Norway of course. But it is so nice there. But the connection between Norway, Iceland and Ireland was so big over 1100 years ago.
