I got the call for a Rolex OP36!!

I finally got the call for a Rolex Oyster Perpetual 36 (Ref. 126000) after 4 years of wait! It's been so long since I registered my interest for the "new" oyster perpetuals after they came out. It's so surreal to have gotten the call. In this video I describe my experience and first impressions of the Bright Black OP36 in detail.

AWESOME!! Congratulations! This was a GREAT choice. I was smiling to myself during the video, since I was so happy for you. Just forget about the Wimbledon... this one is even better, such a timeless piece. Trust me, since I have experience.
It is routine for them to not give you the stickers or coffin. But weird that they would not give you the white hangtag. I've only had that happen to me once before (when I got the Submariner on the same-day I came in)

Congrats on the purchase. I asked the local AD to buy an omega at discount and they offered me to buy the Omega without discount together with the submariner date as a package. Really happy

Congrats, I’m happy for you, but you waited to pick up an OP? These are available in the window where I live (except celebration, green and blue dials) along with various other models. I picked up a two tone GMT Zombie/Guinness whilst walking past this year as well as an Air-King. Other pieces such as two tone Submariners have been readily available for ages too. I also visited an AD outside my home country that had 110 pieces in stock and ready to buy.

Rolex and ADs have pushed their strategy too hard in the past few years that it has crossed the line from being desirable to arrogance and alienated many millennial and gen z. So you must be in their program to recapture the younger crowd and rightly so

Congratulations! Happy for you! It is definitely a good experience to buy at the retail store, but you have it pretty hard. I was shocked to got the call in 2 weeks for a 31mm for my wife, and my Explorer 1 walk in. 😳

Just walking and checking the watch store in Guam, USA last week and was surprised that the AD of Rolex offered me the Submariner date 2024. Not expecting at all and that’s my first Rolex. Can’t believe that’s real up to now. Was able to set-up an account with them too.
