The SicK Situation Explained

Last weekend, Sentinel's Valorant player Hunter “SicK” Mimms was arrested for criminal trespassing after tweeting a video of what appeared to be an altercation at a Ferrari dealership.

As of publication, Sick remains in jail. Since his arrest, many, including Sentinels CEO Rob Moore, have called for the community to support SicK during this time.

It’s a complicated story, so let's lay out everything we know so far.

Poor guy, it looks like he’s still struggling with his mental health and a few unfortunate events have really set him off. Hope he’s able to figure himself out again and accept the support given to him

Watching Sick go through all of this is just heart breaking. I feel so bad for him and hope he gets the help that he needs.

It could be the case that he is suffering from bipolar I or II. I and some family members have it, and many of these things are things I or they have done before during mania. Traveling to brazil was probably a stressful situation and could have contributed to it happening.


When you are manic you feel like you are right about everything and it almost feels like you have obtained knowledge no one else has, you have an extreme sense of wellbeing, you sleep less and talk more and faster, you make large impulse purchases and decisions.

Im glad he has people in his family concerned for his wellbeing.

This is sad to see, I've been following Sick maybe from his CSGO career and to see him changed a lot because of depression. Hope he gets the treatment he needs and come back to his old self.

Btw for the sick and Kyedae thing apparently he just took her out to lunch to have a heart to heart talk about how he was treated at the event. Then came a debate that supposedly got heated and that was what made kyedae uncomfortable.

I don't know Sick, so that could just be him, but the way he was acting and talking during those clips just felt really weird. I wouldn't be surprised if there was something more going on with him.

I think it speaks mountains that no one has paid Sick's $5000 bail. What it says, I won't guess because there are far too many unknown details about Sick's health.

You should add the detail that Sick's ex lied about the nature of their relationship in an attempt to damage Sick's reputation as well as break some of Sick's belongings while staying at his place. Their relationship actually was open, but functionally only for Sick's ex which was exposed by one of their mutual. She accused him of flirting with multiple women (not Kyedae, people misunderstood this) based on pretty much nothing. There was a party he attended where she claimed that Sick was flirting with multiple women there only for one of the people who actually attended the party to respond saying that not only did he not flirt with the women there, he was pretty much just acting sad by himself during entirety of the party. Sick's ex definitely seemed like an important catalyst to his current behaviour so I don't understand why this video doesn't really touch on that and instead, kind of paints her in an "ok" light.

When everyone around you is the problem but not you, you should take a look at yourself. Seems like the dude has deteriorating mental health and he’s pushing people away. I had a good friend go through something similar and she turned out to be schizophrenic among other mental health issues. Hope everything works out for him.

I remember watching some valorant streamers and everytime SicK is in their lobby, he would speak nonstop (through open mic) to the point where some chatters begged their streamer to mute him.

So a girlfriend of a player on rooster can be in the arena with the team when she is signed WITH DIFFERENT ORG and a player a substitute(if something happened to one of players thats why hes there) from that team is not allowed? WTF??? How can anyone allow a member of a team be treated like this...

I hope he will be okay. Always thought he was a cool guy and I really hope he gets the help he really needs and also the support by Sentinels - and maybe some kind of option to rejoin the team when everything is okay again. For me it looks like that he really loved all the people at Sentinels and kinda feared that they won't stick with him anymore.

For anyone who’s never dealt with Ferrari dealerships (which by universal proposition almost all can be relatively the same) they are UNBELIEVABLY arrogant. If they don’t think you look the part or will honor the brand, they tend to look down on you and Ferrari has gone so far as to sue individuals who modify their vehicles (even though they bought them).

I’m not saying Sick wasn’t possibly acting a fool and deserved it. I’m simply saying I’m not surprised something went down in the story of:
Skinny gamer enters dealership, says he plays video games for a living with a large income. Probably had the salesman rolling their eyes. 😅

Honestly, when you feel like everyone around you is not respecting you, just stop social media for a while, cut ties with people for a bit, and rest. Only with close family and friends, live life.

This is really sad to watch, I joined one of his streams a while back and I could just see how much he's changed.
He used to be really reasonable and now we see him defending himself buying that car, even though, judging from his living conditions, he really can't.
He seems so much more irritable now, he really needs help.
