'DONE' Full Length Film

John John demonstrates this new level of surfing in his first independent release, DONE. Film by John John Florence and Blake Kueny, DONE takes the DIY ethos and flips it on it's head.

John's phenomenal but I just feel like there are comments about the film lacking. This is the second film I've seen of john by blake vincent kueny and both astounded me. This guys use of sound and how he can make surf footage captured the same way as it has for the last 10 years look so cinematic and almost completely unseen before in surf cinematography. His editing is incredible, the sound editing too, the soundtrack is amazing. Songs you'd never associate with surf or that you'd skip if it came on the radio seem to fit so perfectly on his surf sequences. His refreshing editing technique to documentary filmmaking. It's all just really really great..

It's a bummer the poor kid keeps getting hurt. He was on fire the first few events on the CT this 2019 season. I thought he was gonna get a 3rd world title this year. You can tell John is Righteous by the soundtrack he's chosen. Being in tune with the ocean makes him an amazing surfer, being in tune with other peoples struggles makes him an amazing human.

Saw this guy just last month in Siargao Island philippines, we even had a beer with a group of friends on the street after we ate our dinner. The sad part is, I am not a surfer and I have no idea who was this guy that time, until my surfer friend told me that this guy is a legend. Imagine how lucky i am to met this guy personally and have a jam together without knowing that it was John john florence!

The music the cinematography the talent from the surfer omg 😭 it’s soo good I don’t surf at all but my dad loved to surf and used to force me to watch surf competitions with him he passed two years ago so every now and then I search up one of the surfers I can remember wished I had shown more interest in it it’s honestly so cool to watch
