It’s all about the biofilm. Over 700 different species are found in the human oral microbiome, growing, communicating and thriving in a complex, sticky biofilm community known as dental plaque. Dive into the biofilm with us as we explore the balance between the good and the bad bacteria, and how proper oral hygiene – brushing, cleaning between your teeth and rinsing – can help keep your dental biofilm thin and healthy! Otherwise, the bad bacteria will flourish leading to dysbiosis and disease. Get immersed in your mouth in an incredible VR experience.

A very simple preventative technique that I never hear suggested or even mentioned by dentists is rinsing your mouth with *water* after every meal or snack or drink. It should be a habit taught from childhood; simply rinsing your mouth flushes way a lot of debris that would otherwise be stuck to your teeth and in your gum-line all day.

its funny to me that listerine made a video about dysbiosis of the oral microbiome when ingredients in their mouthwash is disruptive to the natural host of microbiota that create a protective barrier that is essential to dental health. When they make a mouthwash thats hospitable to our native flora I'll buy it
