When drummer Patrick Bautz is performing, he’s in the zone. But not that long-ago, Pat, who has been the drummer of the band Three Dog Night for the past 30 years, started getting distracted. Physical symptoms were impeding his drumming. And it was something that worried him enough to seek help at Mayo Clinic.

Pat was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. Over time, his condition progressed and his tremor further affected his playing. But thanks to deep brain stimulation, Pat's got his rhythm back.
