Okinawa electric scooter Praise launch | First Look| Motown India

After the launch of the Ridge electric scooter, Okinawa Autotech Pvt Ltd has launched the Praise electric scooter which promises to go at a top speed of 75km per hour and travel a distance of up to 200km on a single charge of the lithium-ion battery. Motown India Editor Roy P. Tharyan takes a look at the e-scooter at the launch in New Delhi.

On Road price of Okinawa praise is Rs 71000 even after subsidy. Battery cost Rs.22000 approx. Battery have only 1 year warranty, if replace batteries after 1 year you need to pay Rs. 18000 (22000 - 6000 for old batteries). It's not a good deal.

I like this, for me 65 km speed is good enough, also it has 12 inch wheels, so i feel it's going to be super hit ☺😊

Guys,
The price they have given is misleading. Rs 59k includes the Delhi's govt subsidy. So for any other state without subsidy, it will come to 65k.
Again, currently its available only with lead acid battery (this needs to be changed for every two years at a price of 10k). So one has to buy the vehicle only with lithium ion.
If i include the lithium ion battery cost . It will come to around 71 K.
So if i include the registration and tax etc, the final on-road price of 'PRAISE' is 80K!!!

Using this kinds of electric bikes in China for more then 5 years now. It’s good for use where there is good roads without any potholes and almost plane surfaces, not good in uphills. Yes your pocket won’t drain but the price in India is 60000INR just double of price here, and this one is not durable as petrol scooters max upto 5years because they should compromise each and every parts to make it lite weight. 175km in a single charge, I really can’t believe that. They didn’t said anything about the volt, if it is 100V, it can cruise 70km range max if you taking it at the speed of 50kmh without anyone in pillion seat.

Head light is missing on handle bar.I prefer head light at handle bar because Iam from small town.in my area lot of turning are there so it will be more convenient if head light is at handle bar.
