Dave Shestokas at Citizens for Liberty, Constitution Day 2018

In 2018 I was invited to speak to the Citizens for Liberty for Constitution Day. The important message that day is that true appreciation of the Constitution requires knowledge of the Declaration of Independence. The Declaration provides the inspiration and the Constitution the execution of America's First Principles. The American Creed is found in the Declaration of Independence:
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed"
