Never considered a Kia, but fate steered us to a one owners used 2005 Sorento in 2008 as we needed a quick second car after downsizing to one luxury car because we thought one car would suffice. Drove the Sorento a few 100k miles till 2016 and got a 17 Sportage SX. Gave the 2005 to a college kid and they drove it 60k miles in 3 years to school and all over the country. At 270k miles they got a new car, but the 2005 Sorento was still ( and still is ) driving around with probably 300k+ miles. Our kids purchased new a 2012 Sorento that now has 254k miles and goes everywhere. Mom (94) has a 13 Sorento with 108k miles we picked up 2 years ago with a brand new Kia engine for 6500. I’ll look at the truck as a third vehicle. All I want is a vehicle that with regular maintenance and garage kept, that can be counted on for 10 years. Something you can send the kids off to college in, starts when you need it and has the value for features. As a retired veteran, value and reliability is my shopping points. Nothing worse than a high maintenance vehicle that’s not trustworthy. The Kia’s are easy to self keep maintained and all the (small) issues of warranty or recall items we have had were quickly remedied by the dealer. Engineering is as best it can be when something is built but unforeseen issues arise that only time and mileage can reveal. I would rather deal with a company that addresses issues with timely recalls and fixes than a company that doesn’t stand behind their product.

I had a feeling way back in like 2019 that Kia should make a pickup truck, and well, 5 years later, they are making one, and I can't wait to see it when it debuts

Why is it so ugly ?. Paint job is the only good thing.
Why has it got railway sleepers for mudguards ?

They hyped the KIA palisades saying it was off road capable and worthy but here in the States they look boring unibody construction vehicles. A lot of people won’t dare take one off roading.

this artist has absolutely no place near this truck. in order to be successful in the truck market you to compete with Ford and GM. No one cares about your wrap design. focus on making the truck function well

This an ugly truck. If it looks like a round box forget it. No more kia

I'm still skeptical of Kia, growing up it's always been a bottom of the barrel vehicle choice. They've definitely gotten better looking in the past 5-10 years, not sure of the reliability yet.
