Jack is the man. He's possibly the greatest unknown guitarist in the world.

Can't tell you why I got so much satisfaction watching Jack play Squire guitars - and proud of it. I've not been playing long, but have always believed, talent determines tone.

I love the fact that Jack Pearson plays with and uses guitars as the tools they were meant to be . He shows you dont have to spend a fortune on a guitar for it to play and sound good . I was playing in the 80's when it was common to have not so great guitars and I figured out the set up of a guitar and the skills you learn are what makes the guitar sound and play well .

Lovely guy and a formidable musician. As far as his love of Squiers is concerned, we are so fortunate these days to have such high quality instruments available to us. Modern manufacturing techniques mean that we can almost all afford a decent instrument. I'm 65 and remember the mostly terrible things we had to learn on - they were all that were available at modest prices. Thanks for this. Great interview.

I just love Jack Pearson! Love his playing, love his kind hearted personality, love his total lack of ego, and love that he can get with cheap guitars and totally appreciate them. We should all look to this guy as a model for guitar playing and for life.

Man, after listening to Jack talk I'm even more of a fan. What a great, humble but completely soulful guy. I love this guy. As a person and a musician. Jack is the real deal. Soft spoken down to earth and one of the best guitarist around for my money. Thanks for this one Marty and Jack.

JP's solo in Blue Sky when he was wearing overalls -- one of my favorite guitar pieces of all time...

One of the GOATS.

14:30 Jack's slide playing is just divine. FAR better than 99% of what I have heard, and this is just an impromptu jam - on a cheap guitar! You can tell Jack's a down-to-earth all-around nice guy.

Who is this guy ? I have heard it said its not the guitar but the player, but Jack took any guitar you handed him and produced more notes and sounds so fluidly better than any big name player I have ever heard. Congrads Marty for introducing Jack. One of the best.

I think Leo would be proud...from all that i know, his design was a lot about the Efficiency...and with a player like this, his idea shines so bright

I love that Jack pulls out the lower end guitars and just crushes tone! A master he is, no ego, no pretence, and his skillful playing is so very inspiring. Thank you, Marty!

I never heard of Jack Pearson till tonight but this man is my new tone hero! I'm blown away by the sounds he's getting out of cheap Squier strats! The wah effect he was getting using his fingers and nails, too, wow. When he switched over to the SG, it did't sound as good as the strat! Makes you really take a step back. I been playing 16~ years now and you keep wanting to go bigger and badder into the expensive Gibson world. And then you watch this and feel like a scrub. I still have my first guitar which was a Squier Bullet, now I feel like putting it back in playing shape!

The thing with the old players is that they all know how to handle the tone and volume knobs to get their tone so well. For me, learning that has and still is an incredibly rewarding experience and never keeps surprising me what you can get out of a guitar that way. For instance, I made my Casino sound almost like a Rickenbacker by playing around with the pots. An essential skill, imho.

Wow, the only thing wrong with this is that it's too short...I could listen to these guys for at least another hour...
