this is it. this is the end of the breaking bad universe. from breaking to bad, to el camino and finally better call saul. just finished the final episode now and i’m astonished. the final look with Jimmy and Kim reminded me and Jesse and Walt from their final episode: Felina. BCS! What a brilliant show. We have finally got that bittersweet ending. I’m sad that we’ll see no more. no more anything. what a ride it’s been

Hardest finale to a show. Man this show makes me sad when I watch Breaking Bad afterwards. Jimmy is all alone from 2004 to 2010 and we all laughed at him because he‘s that "funny lawyer guy"

Just everything about these final scenes is perfect. Using the gray not just to easily establish the time frame, but how there’s less joy for the surviving characters of both shows, making life “a little more gray”. But Jimmy does everything to see some joy again. He willing puts himself in a literal prison, and submits to the figurative prison of forever being known as Saul. But his confession let Kim see he’s Jimmy again, and he got to share one last moment of joy, the cigarette they share is the only color we see.

Jimmy could be smirking for many reasons, but I think one large one is because he is finally free from Saul. Jimmy is smirking because only he knows he's going to tell the truth, and the truth will set him free. The spiritual nature of this song also enhances this notion of atonement ❤

People like to think he took the easy way. Pssh…think about this, even though he had only 7 years, his age is a huge factor. What’s the difference? And what’s he gonna do afterwards? Being a lawyer is his whole life. He can’t go back to that. So why not just fess up and stop living in the past and accept the future you made for yourself. It’s cathartic.

It’s not always about what you want, but what needs to happen. He accepted his fate. That takes guts and earns my full respect.
