There has always been a market for older artists. It is just record labels forced us to listen to a bunch of 18 year olds because that is all they would promote. Now because of the internet people can choose. I see a lot of artists blowing up in their 30s too now.

i agree the maturity and rap skills that come when you are older! most of peoples favorite rappers over a decade came into the game in the late 20's to 30's. I feel like long lasting rap careers are because of maturaity. Larussell is in his late 20's running the independent game!

None of the many professional musicians I know are under 30. While this video is positive, it is really only referring to mainstream pop/rock/hiphop artists.
