COVID-19 taking a toll on older workers

The unemployment rate for people 55 and over jumped to 13.6% in April, compared to just 3.3% in March, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics, and newly out-of-work older workers will face a daunting job market as the country emerges from the coronavirus pandemic.
