That Nikki Haley teaching joke was chef's kiss.

The fact that she can be forced to admit that the civil war was about slavery while also claiming that the US was never a racist country is kind of amazing, in a disgusting way.

I could swear I heard Amber Ruffin laughing at that Nikki Haley teaching history in Florida joke.

Nimarata says that institutionalized racism doesn’t exist in America, AND she says that she “grew up on the wrong side of the tracks.” There wouldn’t be a wrong side of the tracks if institutionalized racism (& classism) didn’t exist. And she wouldn’t be going by the Anglicized-sounding Nikki to better assimilate into an Anglo-Saxon leaning environment. She would embrace her own heritage, instead of run from it as she runs from America’s complicated history, gaslighting all that she doesn’t want to acknowledge

My favorite part of this monologue is the idea that a teenager would ever say “apropos of nothing”

That really clashes with Haley's flip flop that the civil war was actually about slavery. She can't kowtow hard enough for her racist base. But, by God, she'll keep debasing herself trying!

1:18 Nikki Haley has repeatedly said that America is not a racist country. As a result a few years back, she was asked why she campaigns without her first name, Nimarata. Yes, Haley was born Nimarata Nikki Randhawa in Bamberg, South Carolina, to immigrant Sikh parents from Amritsar, Punjab, India. She doesn't use her Indian first name to campaign in South Carolina or nationally because she would lose lots of votes from her racist constituents and Republican Party members if they saw her ethnic Indian name.

I swear, "Tearing down the teen rec center to build a shopping mall" was the evil plot in nearly half of all 90's movies.

NIKKI: US not racist
also NIKKI: won't use her real name because US racist

Nimarata Randhawa became Nikki Haley to sound more American because she knows that racism is well and alive in the United States.

Scollins really missed an opportunity to use a "Trouser Snake" joke! 🤣

Isn't it amazing how Nikki Haley says this isn't a racist country while she is the victim of racism from a former president?

The fact that she says that, says that she is well assimilated into American institutional racism.

Asa was actually the most competent, ethical, & sane candidate running. Which in the GOP is a death sentence.

Is that why Nimarata and Raphael feel compelled to go by Nikki and Ted?
Also, I guess slavery was just a lifelong internship? At least, according to Florida and Texas textbooks.

If nothing else, Surprise Inspection has made it really easy to spot the Scollins jokes. 😂

CORRECTION : Though the film UP was released in 2009, if we consider 2009 to be present day in the film, his wife has died much before that.

Haley: No, Germany never had a problem with Nazis, why do you ask?

NIKKI: America was never a racist country
NIKKI'S PARENTS: don't tell her about all the whites-only stuff that was around when we first arrived

If there isn't an entire flurry of "Never Been a Racist Country" jokes in the next Surprise Inspection, I shall get very grumpy. There could have been an entire segment about that and it would automatically have been more funny and a lot cheaper than all the Popsickle Shticks put together.
