Roland D50 and Eventide Space demo

Just bought another Roland D50 (I sold my first one only a few months after I bought it - it was in pristine condition - this one, not so much). I never realized how amazing it sounded. It's incredible. The sound was edited using a template within Midi Designer Pro 2

I just wish I could live tweak the filters :/

Congrats on these ethereal textured sounds from the D-50, definitely not what Roland had in mind when they designed it, it’s killer feature being the short attack multi-samples that finally allowed more realistic sound synthesis than pure analogue did.

Lovely demo. I had a D50 back in the day (shortly after I previewed 'Digital Native Dance' in a store) and always regretted selling it back in the early 90s. I bought a V-Synth XT last year partially because it had the D50 card inside, but it didn't sound the same. The D50 has such a deep, rich, expansice (and expensive) sound.

I like your vids because they are like nature parks during a roadtrip, a slow enjoyable respite from the mundane hypnosis of the modern society freeways blurring madly into nothingness, which is my way of saying I appreciate your work. I like to spend 20-40 minutes in a nature park though...hint hint ;) hehehehe

Very beautiful track - it's not just the Eventide ;-)
You could consider the iPG-800 app for iPad, it emulates a bunch of the PG programmers, including PG-1000 for D-50. It's not the same tactile experience as the real deal, but figure it must be better than nothing. Would love to get a D-50 myself, but they're very rare around these parts, especially in good condition.
