This video discusses the how good an data converter would be for the user, known as the linearity of the converter. The resolution of the converter is simply how many interface bits one has to the data converter. The linearity of the converter describes how precise or accurate the converter performs. The primary measures used are INL and DNL, different measures from the ideal characteristics of the converter.
