the people who are gagging at this and saying it’s disgusting probably don’t understand food science; the reason this “works” is because of the combination of savory and sweet, the sweetness of the chocolate and saltiness of the broth compliment each other very well.

it’s the same reason why people love dipping their mcdonald’s fries into their milkshakes. it’s also common for people to put vanilla ice cream into their ramen too. if you think about it, that’s not too different from regular milk ramen.

i get that it’s jarring at first glance, although we in general should be more open-minded to trying new things and so-called “weird” combinations!

Traditionally, one of the ingredients for chili is unsweetened chocolate or cocoa powder. So I can see how this chocolate ramen might work.
