The silent majority wasn't a real thing but I understand what he is saying and I can relate when it comes to certain things. I consider myself liberal, but I don't like that women and men are being labeled as anything other than women and men. I wish more respect was given to natural born men and women while also respecting people who wish to change identities. Not sure if I'm explaining that right but I tried.

The term woke goes back to 1938 (Lead Belly- a blues singer ) and even as far back as 1860 with regard to the abolition of slavery and workers rights, Woke is about being aware and socially active. In my humble and wide awake opinion, the right racist extremist in America picked up the term and they simply use it as a “dog whistle”. American Conservative politicians are famous for using terms that stoke racial fear. What better way than to take a positive term from the black vernacular, and run a whole campaign on it. Now they have lumped in anything else that people fear into “woke-ism” LGBTQ, immigrants ( of color only). Etc etc, It is not about political correctness. It is reminiscent of the Willy Horton ad, and it’s a racist dog whistle
