I’m glad they differentiated between “forced marriage” from “arranged marriage”. In a lot of media the two are used interchangeably, but in reality, a lot of people in arranged marriages are in happy marriages.

My aunt got married through arranged marriage, and the families are very close and supportive of each other. It’s great for having a large support network, and often times family members can see if the couple is a good match or not.

I despise forced marriage and I’m glad they specified.
