The "Rookies" part hit home for me. I remember the first time as a kid we went to Daytona Beach in the summer on school vacation. Being a darker complected person from the Northeast I never had to worry about sun block at the beach but that first night after being outside on the beach all day in Daytona my mom, brother and I suffered with bad sunburns and didn't sleep at all that night, lol.

I live in Southern California... I don't think I've ever seen the beaches as empty as that. (BTW I visited the beach while in North Carolina and I LOVED it! There was parking and Everything!)
