Let's talk:


1. Corporate tax revenue only makes up 7% of federal tax revenue. The largest majority comes from income and payroll taxes (3T of the 3.6T in total tax receipts). Using corp tax revenue as a way to justify tax cuts is a bit disingenuous.


2. What data do we have that validates the claim that "tax cuts are bringing jobs back to the US". It's easy to come out and make claims, but they are empty without data to back it up.

Payroll tax should be the PRIMARY focus of tax cuts. It Is the single best stimulator of the economy, but is usually lobbied against in favor of more advantageous tax cuts that benefit large corporations. You hardly ever hear anyone talking about payroll tax cuts, but it is the best way to keep unemployment low, promote competition (which is why corporations are against heavy tax cuts based on payroll), and stimulating spending and capital. It should be the underpinning of cooperate tax law rather than expenditure.

45 % of working Americans pay no taxes. If every working American paid 5 % that would be enough for the Federal Government to fund everything. Why does someone that mismanage their life affairs get off, and in most cases get the Earned Income Credit? I'm all for helping folks, but I want it to be my choice, not the government.

Why didn't they just do payroll tax cuts first? Payroll tax cuts would help the middle class more than anything else. Also, if the tax cuts payed for themselves, why is growth not what they promised? Why is the deficit the highest it has ever been? These things aren't adding up.

Our national debt is to great to sustain. I live on social security and my own investments. My worth has increased over the past 3 years simply by my investments in the stock market. Anyone with a 401k supported by most every medium to large employer in the country has that opportunity. Rather than cut taxes, apply any economic growth to the debt.
