Poor Man's Gambit at Longwood Gardens

Poor Man’s Gambit, a talented trio of musicians based in the Brandywine Valley, take you on a musical tour of traditional and original Irish music in the lush green surroundings of our Conservatory. Listen along to 30 minutes of Irish jigs, upbeat reels, a lilting waltz, and many other Irish tunes that you may recognize from their past performances in our Beer Garden. The trio close out the set with the title track of their new album “Land of Sunshine.” We hope this performance brings you a bit of sunshine from our Conservatory!

Tom, thank you for keeping both local musicians and Longwood's tradition of live music alive while we are all going through rough times. I truly enjoyed Poor Man's Gambit. Would love to hear them live. I will watch to see when they come back to Longwood!

Thanks to Longwood for such a wonderful peaceful refreshing place to go to. We call it our 'Happy Place'. When faced with the unending care of aging parents, we would come to Longwood for rest. Having a memebrship not only keeps Longwood going, but ensures it is avalable to all who need it, and for those just visiting.

Looking forward to all the new projects. I know Longwood will make it look fantastic. Walking through the conservatory later at night with few to no people allows me to think it's just for me and my family. That's one of the special moments we have come to cherish.
